There is an ancient temple in Thiruvanchiyam near Tiruvarur Tamilnadu.
The uniqueness of this temple is in all its beauty..the huge temple Tank which is Gupta Ganga,holy significant for its magnificence,myth. Then separate sanctum for Lord of Death, Yama with Chitragupta...The swayambhu Vanchinathan with bewitching beauty and Goddess Mangalambika, waiting to embrace you with Her Grace and kind eyes....There are more than 3 vinayaka,right from the Tank...The Mahisasura Mardhini, in a attacking pose without krodha....The Mahalakshmi Temple, Sani Sannadhi,Kasi Viswanatha with Visalakshi by his side, Rahu Ketu in unified human form with Vasuki on their head, accompanied by Yoga Bairava, Sun,Moon all in same garba gudi...Does it not reverbrate the Tunga calmness, where friends and foes live in amity....They say that terminally ill people are brought here, bathed in the tank and within 3 days they get Moksha, as Lord Siva himself utters Taraka Mantra in their left ear...thus there is a burial ground facing the Lord.....at a distance of 1 km...
